Shocking news of Wei Shien's death

Life is so unpredictable..This morning, e 1st thing tat i heard(which woke mi up) was my mum telling someone in Hakka, "Ah Wei passed away already." As I was still half asleep, I was a little blur, wondering who is Ah Wei. Den suddenly I rmb is my cousin (Wei Shien gor gor). Got a shocked sia..Telephone had been ringing e whole morning. Mum asked mi quickly send an email to my other cousin (Wu Shien gor gor). Initially our plan for todae was to haf a gathering at grandpa's hse, help him celebrate his bdae de..But who noes this kind of thing happen? So we sae dun cut cake lor, juz go grandpa hse haf lunch..Actually we suppose to haf bee hoon, curry, tou foo, fried chicken wings for lunch de..But since my aunts & uncles didnt turn up (they 'ban dan'), we r left wif oni siew mai & salad..In e end, we last min packed some chicken rice. It was not enough to eat also..coz da yi's children suddenly all turned up(they sae they not coming de lor).

Quite surprised tat my grandpa handled e news quite well. When mum told him tat Wei Shien gor gor had passed away, he was shocked la..Very shocked..Den later he sae, "Now can an le liao". (he spoke in khek, so very hard to translate). Coz my cousin has Epilepsy. If I'm not wrong, is known as "yang dian feng". A very serious case. Even e doctors also dunno how to cure him. They used him as guinea pig also, trying new medicine on him since his case is sort of "new" to e doctors. Last nite, he & my er jiu mu was at his sis (Soo Shien jie jie) place..He looked ok last nite, his heartbeat was alrite too. But his hands were cold..He had a relapse last nite juz b4 he went to slp. And tat slp goes on forever...It was this morning, er jiu mu call him, he no reply. Den she beat him very hard also no reply. That scared my er jiu mu. So she immediately wake Soo Shien jie jie up. They called e ambulance. Police went over also..It was den certified he's dead. That was ard 8.30am.

Anyway, at ard 2.30pm, Wei Hsien gor gor's body was brought back to Ghim Moh. He didnt had make up on. Coz he's a guy. Was so damn angry wif da yi's children. Those idiotic cousins. We all went downstairs together.Thought they going to pray Wei Hsien 1st but they sae they haf plans n need to go off le..Wah lao eh..Already waited for so long liao lor..Pray awhile will die izzit? Cant stand them lor..Even Eddie & Pei Ching also angry wif them..So e oni cousins present juz now b4 they cover e coffin were Eddie, Pei Ching, sis & mi. Pathetic lor...4 oni..there r suppose to be 19 cousins lor..We helped put some things(dunno call wat..looks like joss sticks) in e coffin..As my er jiu is poor, he cant afford an expensive coffin(wif glass de). So e things inside e coffin also quite cheapo la..They stuffed alot of cotton wool lor..Den e coffin cover no glass de..So once sealed cannot see le..After putting those stuffs on top, his siblings, nephews & cousins, knelt infront of e coffin & pray while e priest nian jing. My aunts, uncles they all cannt pray coz they r older den Wei Shien. After taking one last look, e casket ppl sealed e cover liao..Wei Shien's right eye was not fully close de.den can see abit of his eye ball..Quite scary lor..My er jiu & er jiu mu very strong..They didnt shed much tears..Of e ppl who were present juz now, oni Eddie & I shed tears. Dunno y also..We both not close wif Wei Shien de..But still feel sad. After all, he's our cousin. Our da gor gor..

Since my cousin is buddhist, the settings of e funeral wake is buddhist style de..No need to burn incense paper also. The whole place very yellowish (coz alot of stuffs tat r yellow in colour). Oh ya, e coffin was placed slightly slanted. The casket ppl sae is becoz e dead person's zhang bei are still around. Well, tat's sth new for all of us.. Since there is nth to do at e funeral wake, all of us were very bored. erm.. tat doesnt apply to my sis & 3 nephews(Aldon, Beldon & Cheston)...They were busy preparing e peanuts, sweets, red string. Walking up & down. Aldon was e busiest..Non stop de..He very active de la..Cant stop toking also de..hahah..But good la..can tell he got leadership skills. Pei Ching, yi yi & I ate alot of peanuts lor, den kept asking aldon to refill..It was so boring, so mi & my cousins were chit chatting away abt lots of stuffs..Den hear my er jiu sae sth. He sae he tink Wei Shien passed away at ard 5.45 to 6am. Coz tis morning at ard 5.45am, he suddenly wake up, den cant slp. He went to hug Wei Shien's bolster & found felt abit weird. He cant describe wat was he feeling, juz sae tat is uncomfortable..Den at ard 7am, my er jiu mu call him asked him quickly go Soo Shien's hse, sae Wei Shien passed away le..Weird hor? Er jiu sae is his son telling him he leaving le..Everyone were very shocked tat he passed away lor..But he left us peacefully too..He didnt looked as though he suffered from a relapse, instead he looks like he was sleeping..Tat's y even my er jiu mu also dunno he passed away until he didnt respond to those beatings.

Actually Wei Shien is like suffering from alot of things. 1st is yang dian feng. 2nd, he abit retarded also la coz when he young, e fire crackers scared him while he having fever. 3rd, he has some extra skins growing on his nose..Which sometimes can actually blocked his nostril. 4th, dunno y his gum also grew extra things de..Sad la...Den for e pic they display at e funeral wake, is computer edited de..Coz there r alot of extra skins on e nose, they had it edited & make it looked good..Wow..It's a huge difference lor..After e editing, e pic dun look like e Wei Shien we all noe. He looked much more good looking in e edited pic lor.. We had porridge for dinner followed by ice cream at e funeral wake. I dunno how my er jiu, Yong Shien gor gor & Alan(Soo Shien's hubby) going to look after e place..Coz they r e oni guys who r available le..Soo Shien & er jiu mu gotta look after e "ABC dengs"(Aldon, Beldon & Cheston). Den some relatives overseas or haf work e following dae..Haiz..Hope someone can tk over ba.. Haiz..kinda worry for my er jiu mu..Coz for e past 38 yrs, her everydae routine is e same..Muz bathe, feed, look after Wei Hsien.But now suddenly he's gone, I wonder how is she going to adapt to e new daily routine w/o him.

The body is leaving on Mondae at 11am, cremation at Kwong Ming Shan..Actually on sundae de, but no space le..So changed to Mondae..Like tat, alot of cousins, neices & nephews sure wun be ard to send him off de..Coz either sch or working..Haiz..I haf ITAB test at 10 am..Den I cant go..If leave at 12pm, den at least I can chiong to send him off..So sad lor..Wan to go also cannt..We having e praying session on Sundae nite. Hope everyone turn up coz juz now we were discussing where da yi's children will come or not..

Since we had already ordered e cake, & cant cut it todae, we had to divide it..Juz now went to Parkway Parade's "Angie The Choice" to collect..At e counter, we asked e person whether can helped us cut e cake into 4 parts. Tink she found it odd lor..A bdae cake wanting her to cut it at e cake shop? We told her sth happen & cant celebrate le..We asked her to cut, but she refused. She kept saying she cant cut it for us but dun mind giving us e small cake boxes..She sae when cut, it will be very messy..But we haf no choice ma..Gotta distribute to diff ppl liao..Since she dun wanna cut, we asked her whether we can cut it by ourselves at e counter. Surprisingly, she sae can leh..hahha..So we took e cake at cut into 4 parts..Den ownself packed into e 4 smaller cake boxes..Those shoppers were looking at us lor..They muz be wondering y these ppl cutting bdae cake here..hahaha..

Now backed home le..My heart got a mixture of feelings. 1st, class separate le..2nd, Wei Shien's death..3rd, I cant send Wei Shien gor gor off on Mondae..*sobz*...
