Expedition Camp 2006

Last week was quite an eventfull week. It seems to juz flew pass in a flash. Just highlight the things that happened on Friday & weekends will do le ba..These few days were the days I really looked forward to coz I dun haf to work on Friday & I can join the juniors for their Expedition Camp. There's this Marketing Competition by the Year 3s & all the current Year 2 marketing students have to be excused from their ITP to attend this session coz we are going to have it next year too. The few of us, sam, jy, hm, jw, celine, tobs, qj were on duty for the day. Now den I noe being the time keepers are not easy. Have to make sure that everyone can hear the bell loud & clear. So the amount of pressure exerted on the button of the bell must be just right. The whole competition ended at about 12pm. Went out to Marina Square with sam, jy & hm. Spent the afternoon chit chatting at "Changing Appetizers". 1st time there. The cup was interesting..Look like a small jug. The lychee ice blended was really nice. Jy & I couldnt stop drinking. Ordered the back ribs & though it was quite of a big portion I finished them all coz they tasted rather nice. The fries tasted like potato chips.

Met up with Diana at about 8pm but that girl was like still not ready when I reached her home. Her mum & bro was shocked to see me at there door step la coz when I called them, they were like wondering what I doing there. haha..Went to NTUC to buy some food for the expedition, play pool while waiting for zheng long to arrive. He was late! Y leh? Coz he was watching a show till he forgt our meeting time. haiz..My skill for pool tat day realli sux. Couldnt aim properly de. Went back to Diana's hse to meet Huiying. When everything was prepared & ready, we finally set off from Diana's hse. Reached Pasir Ris Park at about 11+pm. At tat pt of time, quite a few were sleeping. Nth much to do liao, so Diana, hy, fc, terence, thiam hock & I went to have something to eat. Actually it was only fc la, the rest of us were chit chatting. I still dunno y am I referred to "the siao eh"...Am I crazy? Or do i look crazy? hahaha...I'm not angry abt it but juz seriously curious. This was wat happened. Terence was toking to hy den he suddenly asked, "Diana stay Pasir Ris, you stay eunos, den tat siao eh leh?" He was pointing to me summore. He heng I nv hear. It was hy who told mi.. Den I immediately turned to Terence & asked him. He so shocked that I know. He claimed that he cant rmb my name. He win liao..The nite b4 I still tok to him lor. Lolx..but nvm la..as i sae, i'm not angry. Went back to camp area & chit chat for awhile. One of the tents was invaded with ants. Apparently, fucai, zheng long & mike's bags were full of ants. and I really mean ALOT. Fc's towel was covered with ants, ants went into all their bags & clothes. We had to helped them empty their bags, use touchlight to check whether there is anymore ants inside. We practically took up the whole cycling track. Lucky it was at night so not much bicycles around le. After settling the ants thingy, another thing came up. While we were helping a group of people looking after their bbq pit & helping ourselves to their food, a group of secondary students kicked the lamp post & the light juz went off. They carried on for the next few lamp posts. We needed the lights so shouted to them that we need it. But they replied, "As if we care" & continued to kick the lamp posts. That does it manz. Fc picked up the phone & called the police. By the time police came, the group was nowhere to be found. All we can do was to tell them wat happened & where had they headed to. Went to slp after awhile. Hy, Diana & I slept in a tent. Our legs had to curl up & my leg got cramp after awhile. Just as I was about to fall aslp, mosquitoes were buzzing around at our ears. Damn irritating!!! Got up & walked to the bbq pit to find them chit chat awhile. But too tired le..So Diana & I went back to try & get some slp. We did la. Only slept for 1 hr plus nia. For the nite, my legs & hands were "decorated" with red spots (mosquitoes bites)..

Next dae wake up, had our breakfast & moved off from Pasir Ris to our next location which was East Coast Park pit 47. Set off at 10.30am, reached ECP at abt 4.35pm. Erm..One thing to comment is that it was rather boring during the trekking until the later part. Coz zl started to have some camp songs and jasper started to sing Jay Chou's songs. Den val, fiona, ps, mi joined in. Slowly, diana, hy & zl also join in liao. Dunno who sae muz sing english songs also coz there's other race around ma. But thinking of english songs not easy. In the end, jasper sang our national anthem & we continued with other singapore national day songs. Though it was stupid but it was enjoyable. A number of us were slacking off whilte reaching our destination, so zl told everyone that if we can reached pit 47 latest 4.45pm, he will treat each of us to ice cream of our choice. Immediately, everybody chiong liao & made it in time. After resting for some time, we started to pitch our tents. Den went off for dinner at hawker centre. The saturday nite was much boring for seniors coz the juniors played games den ended the day early. Diana & I helped them go find nearest shower room which was at Coasta Sands Resort. It was really scary. As i opened the toilet door, it looks creepy. 1st time I was feeling a little afraid when entering. So went back & told them that they gotta go in even numbers, etc..In the end, left mi, diana & leo at the tents looking after the stuffs. The place where we pitched out tents were surrounded by lots of cats. Ok la..you dun see them all e time..but they come out quite frequently. The area was dark plus cats are so dark also..Spotting them was difficult. Had meeting & small discussions with some of the juniors & I tink it was really a good time to find out some stuffs from them. I wun go into details regarding the things we had discussed. In the end, we seniors oni had our shower at 1am plus? By that time, Coasta Sands toilet already closed. So bo bian gotta go the very dirty toilet. Eeeee......After which, jasper, zl, diana, leo & I acc ps go 7-11 buy stuffs..In the end, we bought Mac for supper. All of us were super tired. Eat till almost fall aslp. Diana & I went to slp for awhile b4 our sentry duty with Bernard from 4am to 6am. However, we only woke up at 5am. Sorry Bernard, made u do duty alone for an hr. From wat we heard from Bernard. He said that he woke us up at 4am. Still sae that we even sat up with our eyes opened. Seriously I have no impression of that at all. Guess I muz be too tired. Even when doing duty, 3 of us were like dozing off lor. There was once where this cat just ran pass our tents. It crossed in the middle w/o entering either of the tents. That was really lucky if not you will hear ppl screaming the hell out of them. The 3 of us were counting down to 6am so we can go back to slp. Zl, bernard, diana & I left them while they having their breakfast coz we werent hungry too. The 4 of us were like zombies. We were at the bus stop waiting for bus 401 but after some time, I suddenly haf a thought that maybe the bus only come at about 10am. True enough, the earliest bus is 10.51am. In the end, followed zl to the bus stop he mentioned. He claimed that it is near Mac..However, by the time we reached, that bus stop is actually outside Tao Nan School lor. Diaoz..We splitted off from there. Diana & I went to Marine Parade for breakfast. I was seriously tired. Couldnt even stand straight, the moment I stop walking, I was dozing off le. Skipped my lunch ytd coz went straight off to slp once reached home. 6 hrs of slp was not enuff. Alrite, even when I'm blogging this stuffs, my brain is not functioning liao. Anyway, to the juniors & specially to the expedition committee members, you all did a good job though. Jia you in the future events.
