Think the virus are everywhere. I just went to see the doctor this morning. Yesterday, after rubbing my right eye, I felt rather uncomfortable in it. As though, there were things inside, cant open fully. Went to look at the mirror & saw some liquid inside, at the bottom right hand corner of my eye. It doesnt feel pain. For that moment, I thought something bad's gonna happen to me. Blind? I dunno why I had that thought but ya, I kept using water to try rinsing it off but fail. So I try going to slp, let my eye have some rest. Woke up, still the same. Told my parents & sis. Since it was late le, so didnt go see doctor & went out to buy some stuffs. Came back & realise that the liquid is gone & my eye doesnt feel any itch anymore. Just to be safe, went to see doctor this morning lor. In the end, the doctor saw a perfect eye on my face & only could prescribe some eye drop & medicine base on what I told him. But ya, recently my right eye feel itchy. Maybe there's some link to it ba. Doctor said maybe coz of some allergy.

Yesterday went to Vivocity to send our luggage for repair. Coz the cushion inside dried off and the sand started to come out. In the end, beside sending it for repair, we bought another a medium size luggage for my sis, since she's going Beijing in September. At the same time, can make use of it for our USA trip. So my sis was like pushing the new luggage everywhere, to Food Republic where we had our dinner, etc.

Finally, I've decided to send my N73 for servicing. It had actually started to give me problems months back but I chose to ignore. But recently, it's problems seems to increase, scared one day my hp may just die out on me. So quickly save all my stuffs & send for servicing. It's gonna take at least 3 days but may take longer, will contact me when it's ready. Hopefully before I leave Singapore. So now I'm using my old phone currently lor. If not I dunno how I gonna survive.

Just do some recap...

21st May
Went to office earlier than usual. I reached office about 8.15am. Quickly prepared all the last minute documents, double checked them again & again before I started to have my breakfast. The 10 candidates came abit earlier. Lucky Poh Li helped me out. I think I was abit stunned cause the agent, Geraldine, who brought them to PWC building asked me, "You know we are coming today right?" Haha.. Anyway, it was rather messy. I gave them the medical report form & medical chit(dunno how to spell) for them to bring along to their medical check up. After which, I collected their other documents with the help of Poh Li. Only then did I realise that they were not informed to bring their documents along! My supervisor didnt tell Geraldine or the candidates. Great manz.. So after Geraldine & the candidates left, I started to photocopy the certs of some of the candidates & prepared the 2nd round of documents for them when they come back from the checkup. On Friday, my supervisor actually told me that she get Kimberley to help me on 21st May. So I went up to Kimberley and the conversation was as follows:

Me: Just now the 10 candidates came.
Kim: Huh? (looking shocked) What candidates?
Me: The 10 Filipinos lor. Huang Me didnt tell you ah?
Kim: Dun have lehz. She never tell me.
Me: Oh ok. Coz she told me that you will be helping me out today.
Kim: Orh. So what am I suppose to do?

Dotz.. My supervisor didnt tell Kim!! Double great manz. I shall do what I can. Quickly went to pack my lunch at Chinasquare cause the candidates will be back to office anytime. And timing was right. I met them at the lift. So, the other temp staffs went to haf their lunch at pantry 1st while I attended to the candidates. I was alone lehz. Gave them the documents, explained to them what to do, etc. It wasnt that difficult for that part, just the understanding their slang was abit tough. Glad that it didnt take too long if not my rice will turn hard & cold. Went back to pantry & the girls had already finished their lunch. So in the end, they see me eat lor. Hehe..

After piano, went to Calton Hotel for dinner with family, ah ma & uncle's family. Whole idea was to try out the restaurant's food. They are deciding to celebrate ah ma's bdae at Calton Hotel. The place was better than the one at Vivo but the food wasnt that great as compared to Vivo. But in the end, we still chose Calton coz it looks more high class, ah ma likes it.

22nd May
Graduation Day. Finally the day came. Dad took leave, sis didnt went to school & all came to attend my graduation. Reached school at about 8am so since still early, took some photos 1st. The ceremony was boring as usual. You see videos before the actual event starts, you see ppl going up to receive their diplomas, hear speeches. I was so worried that I will fall lor coz of the long graduation gown. But phew, I was still standing & walking safely when receiving. After ceremony ended, went out & that's when ppl starts to take pics. As according to Tobbie, the sky was too happy for us that it cried. Initially it only drop a few tears, but soon it couldnt control any longer & burst out loud. Couldnt take pics in the outdoors anymore. I was approached by the people who were promoting on SPGG thingy once I managed to get a breather. Came & asked & asked. There was one saying, "You know, once you stepped out of here, you are an adult, no longer SP student, cant pay student price. You only pay $10 per year & you can enjoy the facilities over here. Your families can enjoy the benefits too. We even have swimming lessons for kids here, your sis can come." Think my parents & I were thinking the same thing. "Travel all the way just to use these? Waste time ah. We already have SIA Clubhouse come here for what?" Haha.. Waited for Sishi to come & took photo with her then I went home le. New fridge coming so gotta helped clear things & shift the fridge since dad cant do any heavy jobs. Fridge suppose to come between 2 to 4pm but in the end came at 4.30pm. By then I left home le. Dear came to fetch me with his parents after their praying at Loyang. Joined them for dinner at Sakura over at Jurong. No wonder cheap. Not much of varieties actually, not fresh, some food were tasteless, weird taste. Only the satays, lamb chop nice nia. Even their longan also not sweet de. Plain water also one kind.

23rd May
Today went back to work. 1 day never go to work only so many emails all of a sudden. And I was supposed to meet a candidate at 9am to pass her documents. Wah, rush like hell. And I was getting busy le. Nevermind, busy for now till next wed & I free for 2 weeks. But by the time I come back to work, I can imagine the many many things I gotta do. And I'm gonna handled it alone (most likely) coz my supervisor going to philippines. Sianz.. tml work again..cya..

Today helped my aunt to shift out of her rented flat and back to the empty house in Ghim Moh. Now that my grandma had passed away & grandpa had been staying in the nursing home for quite some time, she have the whole place to herself. Started out early in the morning. My cousin (eddie) came to fetch me & his sis's bf (yong quan) before heading to his place to get the lorry. Tgt with eddie, peiching & yongquan, we headed off to my aunt's rented flat. According to her, it was suppose to be Blk 644 but as far as we know, there seems to be no blk 644, only 664. Apparently my aunt was so blur that she got it mixed up. Haha.. We only took awhile to shift out all my aunts stuffs from the flat with just 2 rounds. Coz she had packed all nicely in plastic bags & there are no big & heavy stuffs like bed, etc. So it was pretty easy. Headed off straight to Ghim Moh & by the time we were done unloading the stuffs, it was only about 11am. It only took us about 2 hrs for the shifting & travelling time. We helped to clear some of the unwanted stuffs at Ghim Moh, but it was rather difficult coz most of the stuffs were my mum's & sis's stuffs. So cannot anyhow throw. My sis told me before hand lor, reminding me not to throw her stuffs. After which, walked over to Holland Village for lunch and shop for awhile. Haha, we spent more time on talking & relaxing than doing the actual work for the day(shifting house).

My cousins & I were telling my aunt that the 1st few things to be done were to get the windows fixed(coz it's spoilt), get rid of the stove(cox it had been there for 20+ or 30yrs, scared may explode or sth), get her SCV, fixed the rubbish chute in the kitchen(it seems to be falling off soon coz the screw seems to came off). After the packing and all these are done, the floor have to be fixed! It looks so horrible la. It's not tiles or marble you see, is those things that are glued to the cement floor. And after 30yrs, the glue had apparently came off and they started to stick the things to the cement using masking tape. Ya, and of coz aunt gotta do the packing lor. But now that so much to be done, now come to the financial part. My aunt do not have so much spare cash to do the renovation, so I dunno who are willing to sponsor her. I told my dad about it and his reply was forever the same, "If she hadnt been renting flat for the past few years, she would be able to save alot of money by now." Which is true la. But then, she dun like to stay at Ghim Moh previously, what can we do? I think she's gonna be lonely and not be able to adjust to the new environment after shifting to Ghim Moh. She had been staying in the east side for like 20 over years. Her activities are always coming to my place, to my 三姨 place, tampines mall. Now that she had moved to the west, she cant stay at all these places till late late le.

On the way back, my cousins were like asking me why did my aunt decided to move back to Ghim Moh all of a sudden? "I also have no idea." That was my answer. I think nobody knows the answer. Infact, she didnt even tell her siblings that she's gonna move back. She told eddie 1st. And it was like out of the blue lor. Then she told me. I was quite taken aback too. Coz all of us had been asking her to move back, then can save on the renting money. My aunt was so against it. Sometimes she even flares up upon raising the question. Definitely not because she's not on good terms with her landlord. So we really dunno why le.

After the whole day of shifting & rushing to my sis's gu zheng concert, I'm tired now. I'm kinda worried now for tml's work coz my supervisor wont be around & there's gonna be a group of candidates coming to settle some documents & go for some medical check up. So many things to do, scared do wrongly sia. Or miss out some things. I keep refering to my notes now, hoping to get those things in mind.

My contract with DBS has been extended, so 4th May wasnt my last day of work after all. But I rested for 2 days before I started work once again. I am still helping the recruiment team cause my supervisor got nobody to help her. Ya, I was complaining I got nothing to do during my 1st month over there. She proved me wrong. Just on tuesday, I worked OT till 9.15pm. Only my supervisor & I were left in the office, busy calling candidates, printing resumes, sending emails. Calling 100 over candidates. Really felt like a programmed robot which kept repeating the same thing.

"Hi, may I speak to ??? This is Hui Xian calling from DBS Bank. I understand that you've applied for the position as Customer Service Officer @ Call Center? Have you come down for the interview? Are you still interested in the job? Can you come down for the interview on 16th May @ 9am/10am/1pm/2pm? Address of the place of interview is 750E Chai Chee Road #04-05 Technopark. Thank you. Bye."

All the candidates were Filipinos or Indians or Singaporean. But majority Filipinos. On tuesday, my supervisor spent so much time on calling the candidates that she went abit crazy le. She started to speak like a filipino and all of us couldnt stand her. I was so not used to hearing filipino & indian speaking so initially I had a hard time understanding them & having them understanding me. Finally we had confirmed 82 candidates to turn up for interview ytd. Since my supervisor had meeting the whole day, she asked me to go to Chai Chee instead to help out. Only 71 candidates turned up. The people over there also very nice. Kept talking to them when they are not busy but most of the time I had no one to talk to. I was there helping to register the candidates when they come for interview, directing them, preparing the necessary documents for the whole interview. Candidates have to pass all 4 stages in order to join DBS Contact Center.

1st stage--> Competency Test
It consists of comprehension, maths & apology letter. Out of the 71 candidates, only about 5 to 6 candidates passed the test. The passing mark was 75%. Everyone failed in the 2nd part (Maths).

2nd stage-->Face to Face Interview

3rd stage--> Role-play

4th stage--> Talk & Type Test

After all the candidates had gone through the tests & everything, only 3 passed through all the 4 stages. 3 out of 71!!! Now I know why they want to have so many candidates to come for the interview. Yesterday was something interesting. An actual recruitment scene. Anyway, the pantry over at Contact Center is big. Big enough to have lots of sofas, chairs, a billiard table, tv, 2 fridge, 2 sinks, area for you to cook, 2 vending machines & still lots of room for you to roam about. But what's the use, is not as though you can stay in the pantry for long during work. Especially for Contact Center. Everyone is deskbound. Except for the vps & trainers. The place is so dead compared to my work place (DBS HR). Just to update I have been shifted out of my work table to another. Now I have a better place coz my back is the window & nobody can see what I'm doing. Infront is the funny, entertaining Vanessa. Haha.. Now at least got somebody I can talk to.

After coming to DBS HR, I saw one person from my Primary school, one person from my Secondary school & one person from SP. Haha.. The Secondary schoolmate came for an interview. SP schoolmate came to sign contract. She got a job as financial executive. Heard that the interview was not easy. 1st round was with 3 businessmen. 2nd round with 2 MDs. Only about 9 chosen out of 60. Primary schoolmate was an engineer who came to help uninstall the unnecessary programs from our computers. I found him very familiar & rather confirmed he was from Tao Nan, same yr as me. So while he was doing my colleague's computer, I suddenly asked, "你小学是不是读道南的?" Then he gave me the look like "How you know sia?" Then he nod his head. I asked another question, "你是不是87年的?" This time round he more shocked. He was so surprised I could remember him. Haha.. I dunno his name, never been in the same class or school bus as him before. If I'm not wrong, he should be in the class beside mine. Haha.. Just find the scene so funny.

I'm gonna avoid bread for the next few days. Well, at least for lunch & dinners ba. I had McDonalds on Tues & Wed. Ytd one was not much of my choice coz the people over there say order Mac in. So anything lor. Today couldnt think of what to eat so had Subway. And is toasted de. Haha.. Went to Raffles place to da bao coz we accompany our little sweet Cindy since she needed to go bank in cheque. Now I think of bread also turns me off. And yep, 2 Macs in a row, how much fats am I going to gain manz? I dun wan to reach back to my that awful, scary weight again.
