Was so busy for the past week. Grandpa had left us a week ago. On last friday, 14th Sep, Mum told me grandpa was sent to hospital coz he complained stomach pain. I wasnt expecting any thing bad. Next morning when I woke up, sis came telling me grandpa was suffering from terminal stomach cancer. The cancer cells had burst. Small intestine damaged. Stomach had bacteria swimming inside. One of the blood vein was choked. Fast, he will leave us in 1 or 2 days time, slow he'll leave us in a week time. Gosh. My grandpa? Stomach Cancer at the last stage? That's definitely a shocking news. He had never seen doctor in his life, never had to take any medicine. He had been so healthy all along. The only thing was he was old & let him stayed in a nursing home last year. Mum, sis & I rushed down to NUH coz doctor predicted that he would not be able to speak after noon. Reached about 11plus & he couldnt speak already. Called him, he could still recognised. Tried to speak but no sound came out. See him in that state made me cry. Doctor gave him 100% oxygen coz grandpa was too weak. At about noon, he started to point to the ceiling & told us that there were 3 ppl there. Not a good sign. He could see "things". Later on, he started to stare at one side. He will only turn & response to you if you call him. His heartbeat was like about 100plus at that time. So afraid that it will suddenly become zero. I was at the hospital the whole time. Aunts, uncles, cousins started to come. In the evening, the nurses couldnt read his blood pressure anymore. There was a period of time, grandpa suddenly trembled badly (as though ppl who have fits). Happened 3 times. Was he in pain? Or was he catching his last few breaths?Later on, he was braindead. Everything gone, only left his heart beating. It started to deteriorate rather fast. Come to about 9pm, it started to dropped to 30plus, & further down. Then came to zero, then back to 15, zero, back to 20, so on & so forth. One of my cousins came the last, called my grandpa, his heartrate immediately shot up to 48 when it was initially zero. After awhile later, his heartbeat remained zero continuously. We knew he was gone for good. Everyone was calmed. No cries that were loud & dramatic. Coz we were already prepared for it. All the drama & crying were done before that.

Grandpa was much fortunate than my grandma. He managed to see all his children, children-in-laws, grandchildren for the last time before he leave. Well, not really all because 2 of my cousins didnt turn up. It's my 1st time witnessed someone dying. And this case is like so fast. Morning he was still alright. At least he could still respond. The next moment, he passed away at 9.40pm.

Next day, went to SGH Mortuary to collect the body. It was at SGH coz NUH didnt have the space. When I saw grandpa, I was taken aback. His mouth were open, eyes opened to its maximum. It was scary. The rest of the day was a mess & busy. Double confirming the names to be on the obituary section, going to casket to confirm the coffin, going down to SPH to settle it. These may seems little but the work to be done is great.

Dunno why but just find that this time round, not many ppl care as much about grandpa's funeral as much as grandma's. Nobody borthered to really put in effort & fold the incense paper, keep burning the incense paper, when praying, you are supposed to remain silent & not talking away. Haiz. Just feel sad for grandpa.

There were so much unhappiness coz of this funeral. Just cant stand their attitude. My cousin was saying after this thing, we werent be meeting the rest anymore except for the close ones. It's sad but I gotta agree with her. I cant even see the future where all of us will be together again.

Ytd was the 7th day. 四姨 prepared grandpa's dinner & breakfast for today before she go to 三姨 house to stay. She was afraid coz she's staying there alone. But apparently everything was as per normal. The dinner & breakfast, things in the house were still in position. The only thing was my 二舅 dreamt of my grandpa asking for kuay tiao soup. And 二舅 won 4D for today.

Supposed to accompany dear this week but coz of grandpa's death, I didnt managed to accompany him as much. Sorry dear.
