Today is the last day of Chinese New Year le. End of collection for Angbaos. This year's collection not bad. Hehe.. Anyway, came here to update & upload some pics.

16 Feb (Sat)
Met Dear at Tampines Mall before we head to Big Splash @ East Coast Park for Sushi Tei. Thanks Dad for fetching us there. The atmosphere is really nice. Sitting arrangements seems to be very well spread. Cushion sitting. We didnt had much, just ordered 19 sushi, a phoenix roll and a plate of tempuras? But was full by the end of it. Took a slow walk from Big Splash to the underpass to get back to Tao Nan School bus stop & took a bus home. Dear finally got to see his flowers(the ones he delivered). Watched the repeated show "有福" & left for White Sands with him & my family. He was attending his friend's 21st Birthday celebration. My family had thai food at Lerk Thai. It was alright, the restaurant at Phuket taste much nicer. Didnt know White Sands had changed so much, looked so unfamiliar to me. After doing some window shopping, we left for home. Oh ya. I got my Nike water bottle! Dad bought it for me. I'm so happy la. Was deciding between the one with metal hook or the ones with designs on it. I like the one with designs but too big la. So went ahead with the one with metal hook. Got a pink colour. Yeah..

17 Feb(Sun)
Went to Waterloo Street in the morning to 拜太岁. Lucky went early so no long queue. Went OG to shop awhile, wanted to buy strawberry shortcake highlighters but thinking that I wont get to use it that often now, just dropped the idea. I'm just so into cute stuffs recently la. Especially with Jas & Nana's craziness.

Went over to 三姨 house for dinner. 四姨 & 二舅 were there too. Cheryl started to cry again when she saw us, coz unfamiliar. After awhile, she was alright. She's so cute can. She talks alot but I understand nothing. Haha.. Just like sis when she was about her age. Only the family can understand. My family bought "yusheng" over. Yeah.. I got to lao yusheng. Actually I'm not really crazy about it but since I've been doing it for the past few years, is kinda a "must" thing for me & doing it with my 三姨's family is real fun la. It was also Pei Ching jie jie's bdae. Happy Birthday Pei Ching jie jie! Had a simple cake cutting session.

Today had kitty shopping with Jas & Nana again after class. We were so excited la, had our shopping list in mind & headed straight. Bought 2 mousepads, 1 packet of magnetic bookmarks, 1 bath towel. So happy. Now, I have made myself to use mousepad. =)

Ooh, love is in the air. Valentines Day! 2 days after that is. I had a nice V day. Dear surprised me with a bouquet of flowers, well, maybe the surprise level did not reach all the way to the peak because of some unforseen circumstances. Since he will be in camp on V-day which means he cant celebrate with me, he decided to deliver flowers to my place. He had it sent over to my place on the night before V-day coz I was having lesson on V-day & wont be home till night, and if he were to deliver the flowers on V-day night, I wont have flowers till the end of V-day. However, I have a last minute make up class on Wednesday night and my family wont be home till about 9pm, so dear got no choice but to tell me he ordered flowers to be delivered to my place. I still thought he was joking. Luckily, the flowers came after my family reached home, if not, I dunno when i can see my flowers. Hehe... It was daisies this year. Asked him why, he said coz last yr gave roses, so this year give different. He was deciding between daisies & sunflowers but coz of the many colours, he chose daisies. He gave me a box of chocolates shaped of bears. Very cute! Now make me cant bring myself to eat them. He gave me a hp accessory with my name on it. Both the chocolate & accessory were from Taiwan.

Had full day lessons on V-day and decided to head home after class since Dear is in camp. But decided to drop by at Tampines Mall for awhile, saw so many couples, girls carrying big & small bouquet of flowers and chocolates. Alot were secondary school students then I remembered the days in sec sch, we would buy chocolates for our girlfriends, dedicating songs to each other. Haha.. Come to think it was so funny, and I cant help but to giggle away. Then phone rang. Dear called and told me he had nights off. So took train to boon lay (back to the west) to have dinner with him. It was crowded manz. Wanted to have pizza but the waiting list is a page long la, so in the end, asked for take away, brought to his home & eat. After a short time of 2hrs, dear & his parents sent me home before he headed back to his camp.

Happy New Year. This year's chinese new year is kinda boring, except for the 1st day.

CNY eve did my spring cleaning for my room, helped out with the cleaning of toilets and do the final decorations. Didnt do much to my room except for clearing all my cds, packed them into storage boxes & dumped them under my bed, afterall i only listen to them once in a blue moon. So now I have more room for my uni notes. I didnt even got the chance to decorate the pussy willow, sis & mum did it when I was in school. After the day of cleaning, I ended up with flu. Sneezing the whole night. During reunion dinner, 大伯 asked me, "you shifted out of the teenage zone already ah?" Coz our reunion dinner is separated into 3 tables. 1 table with ah ma & all adults (I'm included here too). 2nd table with the 3 teenage boys. 3rd table with all the girls plus one teenage girl. When he asked me that, I was thinking, "I've never been to the teenage zone table before lor. I was promoted straight to adult table since sec sch?" Then don't know who started to say I turning 21 this yr and some started to ask me how am I going to celebrate. Really, I dont wish to think of it. Coz need to organize own party, headache ah. Went home after dinner, helped sis & myself do our manicure & pedicure. So rush lor, I didnt even got the chance to really sit there & watch the countdown. In the past, I'll always eat the cny goodies upon waiting for the countdown. Oh well, just head to bed & get ready for 1st day of visiting.

初一

This year, we have one place less to go. That is to visit my mum's dad. Last year he was still in nursing home. 1st stop in the morning was to temple pray my dad's dad, then to 二舅 hse & 四姨 hse. This is the 1st time going to 四姨 hse coz she just shifted to her own home. After which, go ah ma house for lunch. It was arranged the day before that all the Ng families (except Uncle Poh Heng family) were to meet at ah ma's place before we set off to do visiting. But ah ma told us 大伯 family is going straight to our 1st pitstop. Well, so set off lor. 1st pitstop, at Tanjong Rhu. Waited for Uncle Poh Seng & Uncle Poh Heng family for so long. Just as we were about to leave, they came. It happens that there was some miscommunication and that's why they were late. 2nd pitstop at Sengkang. 3rd at Ubi. 4th at Serangoon. Last stop back to ah ma place for dinner. You know, after the day of visiting which means eating goodies all throughout the day, my stomach was nearly too full to have a proper full meal of dinner. During cny, the only thing I really look forward to is 初一 coz it's the most entertaining day for cny. Although it's kinda boring coz the older cousins & I dun really talk, & the younger ones were busy playing, I have nothing to do but to eat & stare & listen to people talk, every year, I know what I'm gonna eat at every pitstop(soft soft cake at 二舅 hse, beehoon & 甜汤 for lunch, 发菜 at Tanjong Rhu, lots of varieties of goodies at Sengkang, Kopi & Koropok at Ubi, almost nothing at Serangoon, reunion dinner leftovers for dinner). But still, I enjoy the visiting. This year, the younger cousins kept the "tissues tradition" going on just that is kinda modified. No longer throwing on each other's cars but putting wet tissues in Ryan & Keith's shoes. You know, I duno why they are the one always being targeted at. Funny thing was that both of them didnt notice the wet tissues in their shoes till we head back to ah ma hse for dinner.

2nd day is always the boring day. A day of visiting with no cny atmosphere. I dunno why. Even my sis say so. Went to 小舅 hse. I think I've been to his place like only 3 times? Now then I know his garden appeared in the straits times before. His back of the garden look like a mini jungle. He had been doing his own gardening since he shifted to his place 18yrs ago. His money plant grew up till his neighbours' windows. Lucky his neighbours like plants so it was alright. His family is shifting soon and I wonder how many trips he need to make to transport all his plants. There's one pot of ferns that is big enough to take up the whole lorry space. 小舅母 told us, "his plants dropped a leaf he know, but my hair colour change so many times he also never notice." Haha.. And they have a few huge Kois. Really big & fat.

Next stop was to 二姨 hse. Her grandsons were not around so it was a boring session for me & sis, so we kept eating goodies. That was our lunch. I cant believe my 二姨 & 二姨丈 are in their late 60s & early 70s already. I mean, they dont look like la. 3rd stop was to go pray 大伯公 at jurong west. 4th stop to 大姨 hse. Wanted to leave early but sis said want to see the lion dance 1st. My 大姨 family called the lion dance to their house. I believed it was my 1st experience to see such things also. After that went to the River Hongbao. Same as usual. Had KFC for dinner & went home.

初三

Initially no plans for the morning & afternoon. Last min arrangements of going to do visiting at Huiying, mine & Diana's place with the 3 of us, zheng long, frankie & edison. So nice of hy's mum to prepare beehoon, nuggets & fried chicken for us. But too much, we couldnt finish. Later on, took bus 5 to my place. Sis finally waited for edison to come coz she wanted to race car with him on the xbox. They had a race last yr & edison lost tragically. haha.. This yr, edison claimed that he will win for sure since he learnt driving. In the end, edison still lose to my sis for the many races the had. But I must say, he did improve though. Last stop was at Diana's place. This yr we didnt gamble at all. Surprisingly. Guess it was too rush also. Good also, can save money. Went back home, steamboat dinner with familiy, 四姨 & dear.

Yesterday morning watched Ah Long Pte Ltd with family & 四姨 at Tampines Mall. The show is bad la. No story plot, whole movie showing loan sharks, how they try to reform, etc. If not for Mark Lee's entertaining scenes, I would be sleeping in the theatre already. After the movie, rushed off to Jurong Point to watched Kungfu Dunk with dear, his sis & his sis's bf. Had a quick lunch at KFC (AGAIN!!!) before the movie. This was a much better one. At least entertaining throughout and more interesting. Went to his house to bai nian then dinner with his family. It's been a long time since I last took train home from boon lay. Always he send me home but too bad he gotta book in early.
